How it works

Complete events

Complete a specified number of events in each of the four modules (see information below) during your study program or your semester abroad.

Use our checklist

Use our checklist (see image at the end of this page) to help you keep track of what you've done. The responsible department will also monitor your involvement into the activities.

Gain certification

Upon successful completion, submit your check list to studentservices@klu.org and receive the Intercultural Competence Certificate from KLU, highlighting your dedication to global understanding and cultural sensitivity.

Description of the modules

Develop a better understanding of different cultural norms and practices, enhance your ability to communicate with sensitivity and respect and collaborate effectively across cultures. Participate in events that aim to create an inclusive study environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

Building upon the foundation knowledge gained in the core module, this elective module provides advanced exploration and hands-on activities to further enhance your intercultural awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion issues.

Actively support the organization of various events that celebrate diversity, encourage the appreciation of different cultures and perspectives, and strengthen community bonds.

Become a leader in fostering a vibrant, multicultural campus community. Engage in activities that promote teamwork and intercultural understanding among your peers and take a key role in shaping an engaged KLU student community.
